It does have HMB, though. If you want a very similar drive, the Teamgroup Cardea z440 has the same NAND with a Phison DRAM controller, and it's currently $46.

It's decent. There are 2tb gen 3 nvme ssds going for $50-$60. I bet by the holidays these gen 4 ssds will follow suit

You may need to wait for the right one, but cheaper drives are approaching $60 (not quite there from reputable sellers if seems)

Here's a 1TB in that price per TB range.

Everyone is stocked up on under $80 2 TB SN850X so yeah we now have a right to be picky and wait for better deals or keep and use the superior deal. We can always put these SN850X to good use on PS5/XSX if a better deal comes along or use them for a long time (well into Gen 5) until NVMes prices drop to HDD levels if they don't. Either way it's a win-win for us hence why we can be more picky.

No DRAM and cost 30% more than the Teamgroup 1TB but comes with better support.

Y is dram required at such high speeds? Just don't see it affecting performance.
