You can easily test it out by adding your card and then adding a qualifying item to your cart and going to checkout to see if the credit is applied to your purchase. Just make sure to use Discover as your payment method for the order.

Yea. I use an email, but once you verify the email it says "To enhance your account security, add and verify your mobile number." and won't let you past that screen until you add a mobile number.
