EDIT - just spoke to Verizon, it looks like you would need to "change" your plan to the 1GB plan. That would likely get your on their new pricing structure and all that entails.
I hadn't looked at my bill in a bit - it turns out my prices went up sharply a few months back, I need to reevaluate this...
