Usually nothing for existing customers.

Cancel your service now, sign up for this deal under a different name (someone else that lives with you)

That's how I've gotten yearly deals

On Gigabit tier $70 a month with Autopay from checking. Everytime my offer runs out, something or other works out with Xfinity. If one CS doesn't help, disconnect and call again. Doing this since 10+ years. I have Verizon available in my area as well which is tad cheaper on gigabit tier, but I keep Xfinity.

Xfinity pricing is always based on the fact how much people can spend in their service area + how many other competitors are there. So lot of YMMV.

Yes, it only means they lock you into that price for 2 years, without risk of increase. You can cancel anytime. If a better deal came along, I could switch to it I presume.

All of their plans are capped unless you pay extra like $25 a month to get rid of the cap. It's ridiculous to have data cap nowadays given that the internet is the lifeline for majority of household.

Agreed, caps are the new long distance fee. As if data is a finite resource ....WE HAVE TO REDUCE usage until we can get a leaseon a new data mine.

Depends on the area of the country. Northeast (or at least around Philly) does not 'currently' have caps.

I've never seen my Xf promised speed of 400 mbps. Usually all I see is ~ 130 mbps. My router and modem are not the problem either.
As for renewals, I had to fight w/ the retention csr for $45/mo. recently. The only reason I did not go back to Verizon FIOS (I use their landline for phone service) is they were/are such a pain to deal with; but, they offer the same speed for d/l as well as up/l which Xf does not.

Huh, the $35 plan is exactly what I had offered over a year ago to me so must just be new for the OP's area. Think they shave off $5/mo for paperless and autopay so hopefully they're offering similar next year when the contract is up.

What's the upload speed of the 400mbps down plan? I have security cams around the house that uploads 4K footage to cloud 24*7. I need reliable upload speed.

I'm seeing unlimited data is not included unless you pay $10/month for their equipment.

The deals are local and will depend if you are a new customer and if you are bundling with TV. I called Xfinity and they only offered me a 1GB plan for 12 months for a discount. I used the OP's link and saw better deals if I was a new customer. Sucks but my only alternative is 10mb DSL and that's unusable.

Meh, which comcast its' always games. Right now I have quantum fiber. 65 bucks a month includes everything. 1 gig up and down. NO data caps. NO games. NO contracts. The price is for life. Can't beat it.

Always interesting to me how people ever hit these caps. We heavily stream daily, from 4k movies to youtube videos and have some months where we're downloading chunky games + updates on two Xboxes yet have never come close to even being notified of hitting a cap.

Phones make more sense for unlimited but for me I'm grandfathered on a super cheap plan with just 2gb and maybe around Christmas time with a lot of gift researching do I ever go over. $5 extra a year for that time sure beats the ungodly prices of unlimited these days.
I only watch television during the weekend for several hours and don't stream 4K or don't stream at all. Family members on their devices and computers daily for several hours playing games, watching videos, and other activities which is nothing compare with streaming 4K videos but every other month, I receive a notice saying "you used 75% of data this month, usually near end of billing cycle. I still couldn't figure how we consume that much.

There are usually 2 options for unlimited data. Add on $30/month to use your own equipment or $25/month for "xfi complete" which includes their equipment and unlimited data.

I do xfi complete since it's cheaper but I just use their gateway as a cable modem. I turned off the routing/wifi and use my own.
