Yes, it only means they lock you into that price for 2 years, without risk of increase. You can cancel anytime. If a better deal came along, I could switch to it I presume.
I thought there'll be an early termination charge if you cancel early?

The best thing to happen to internet in my area was TMobile Home internet. Not because that service is better, but because Xfinity finally started actually offering incentives to not cancel. For a good 5 years, without any competition, they would just allow the cancellation to go through without much fighting. I felt like Bill Murray in Stripes - I had nowhere else to go.
Same. Except TMO ended up giving me better speed and uptime for $25/month.

I am paying $10/mo for xfinity 75mbps and $10/mo for xfinity 200mbps at another home and its same experience.
What's your secret? I was over the moon for my last $30/month term Xfinity contract that is going to expire in November.

I get 100mbps for free from them with the affordable connectivity. It's 29.99 and I receive a 29.99 credit. The data is not capped with the affordable plan.

I can't imagine going back down to 75Mbps which at best may get you under 100Mbps except for basic web surfing and at most single HD streaming.
You'd be surprised what you can do with 50Mbps and a good router that can do quality of service. 2 HD streams, a kid on YouTube and two work from home parents online w/Zoom or Teams is no issue even with 50Mbps speeds.

I tried to call customer service to get this deal as an existing cusomter and they would not budge. It used to be if you got a hold of retention they would wheel and deal with you.

can someone explain WHY would someone need 400mbps for everyday use? it's Bisard and insane unless you're downloading heavy files or p0rn on regular bases

I am paying $10/mo for xfinity 75mbps and $10/mo for xfinity 200mbps at another home and its same experience.

You shouldn't have to pay $50/mo to watch netflix 4k or facebook.com LMAO

Rather invest in a GOOD router that will support those speeds thru out the house and multiple devices.

It depends on where you live. I have one real option beside satellite and it's T-Mobile home Internet. The speeds are ~30mbps+ but the latency varies wildly

Absolutely agree, idk what people thinking more speed magically means better ping and connection stability.

As for your $10 shit? Yeah, I can't even get 50 Mbps for under $40.

Same here, and they are literally my only option for internet. And I think they know it.

There are usually 2 options for unlimited data. Add on $30/month to use your own equipment or $25/month for "xfi complete" which includes their equipment and unlimited data.

I do xfi complete since it's cheaper but I just use their gateway as a cable modem. I turned off the routing/wifi and use my own.
I had Comcast for years and they loved their monopoly in my area until AT&T Fiber came in. I switched to AT&T and have been so much happier since. That said, Comcast took away our unlimited data right around when COVID hit and decided to restore it should I pay an extra $30/month. That said I was very happy leaving Comcast but always open to new deals.

Looking at this, I can't replicate the $60 gigabit plan and the only option for gigabit is $80/month with a 2 year contract and this does not include unlimited. Hard pass.

Wish this was available near me. Paying $82 per month for 250gb connection since there is no competition. Insane.
