Usually nothing for existing customers.

Cancel your service now, sign up for this deal under a different name (someone else that lives with you)

That's how I've gotten yearly deals

On Gigabit tier $70 a month with Autopay from checking. Everytime my offer runs out, something or other works out with Xfinity. If one CS doesn't help, disconnect and call again. Doing this since 10+ years. I have Verizon available in my area as well which is tad cheaper on gigabit tier, but I keep Xfinity.

Xfinity pricing is always based on the fact how much people can spend in their service area + how many other competitors are there. So lot of YMMV.

Yes, it only means they lock you into that price for 2 years, without risk of increase. You can cancel anytime. If a better deal came along, I could switch to it I presume.

$25 / mo and no data caps and works even blackouts = https://imgur.com/a/r9abQ9C
That speed is amazing. Is it T-Mobile? What is that small box with antennas? It is different from the modem I got from T-Mobile.

This is the plan I'm on currently. Even gave me a free xFi Pod when I told them I was having connectivity issues.

I dont understand why XFinity doesnt adjust their prices with the local market. Local fiber companies offer 2Gb for $49.95/month. 1Gb is free (but you have to pay for installation). Or for the elite, you can get 100Gb Internet for $1899.95/mo. lol

$20 for gigabit is a steal! I actually upload a lot though and, at least at the time, cable internet had slow upload. FiOS gigabit is 940m/880m I believe. Been grandfathered for $60 for ~5y or so. It's been very reliable.

This might be a noob question. But if someone can help me out I would appreciate it.

Currently in out skirts of Atlanta, GA. I am paying $80 right now for 100M/Bs. with renting the modem as well.

How do I go about getting this deal? Do I cancel my existing plan, return everything and just re signup? Or is there a way to transfer to this with my existing equipment?

Any help would be appreciated

Do you have other options available? If not, XFinity will screw you with the pricing. That's how they treat our rural customers, since they have no other options (T-Mobile averages 45 - 60Mb and Verizon is about 200 - 300Mb). Luckily the electric companies are rolling out fiber.

They do.

The problem is, fiber is stupid cheap to operate vs. coax, hence your pricing.

Xfinity likes to play games and not give existing customers deals so you need to keep canceling and then use someone else in your households name.

Really depends where you live.

I get like 20down/8up on my 500mbps xfinity plan that's $100+/month. It's literally awful but they have the typical monopoly here so they can charge whatever they want and under-deliver speeds.

I get 200-600down/100-200up on TMobile. It's so much better and basically free.

Unfortunately, I still have both because TMobile doesn't like to work with VPNs, which most people need to work from home. Something with NAT issues and ipv4/ipv6 stacks. Very common issue and if you use a VPN for work, TMobile likely isn't a solution for you.

But for us, Comcast sucks so bad and is literally the only "real" option...so I'm stuck with that for my work computer while we use TMobile for everything else (streaming 4+ devices, online games, tons of smart lights, cameras, etc). I figure paying a little extra per month at least allows everybody to use their tablets and computers at the same time and it's just me that has to suffer on Comcast for work
Thanks for the info, has tmo acknowledged the vpn problem?

I really am considering tmo but the problem is that in my condo cell service isn't the greatest, it is hit or miss depending on where you are standing. So if I put the tmo access point in the right location or maybe DIY an antenna it might be very good (or not).

FYI there are YT videos about how to DIY an antenna for the tmo device

Lol, yes. I kept my "platinum" status and everything. It's the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
