Avoid monoprice's monitors like the PLAGUE. You've been warned. Spend a little more and get a brand name.
My wife has been using a Dark Matter 34" for 3 years without issue. Besides a terrible color calibration from the factory, it has suited her needs as a CAD designer quite well. It works flawlessly with her MacBook Pro too.
I've had my 34" Dark Matter ultrawide for over a year. Other then the clunky OSD button menu to change inputs, the display is great.

That picture looks weird when stretched out to 49".
Better to get a 43" Insignia F30 with 2100 resolution.
Picture is much more in proportion to length and width.
Save your $, my 43" was $150 delivered.

I got this last time on sale and was disappointed it didn't have FreeSync Premium or whatever they call it, as far as I could tell. So it adaptively syncs from 48-120 Hz but if you fall below 48 Hz it doesn't do the show-the-frame-twice trick to make it tear-free if you're between 24-47 frames per second. My plan is to game at 2560x1440 until I can afford a good-enough GPU that always stays above 48 fps at 5120x1440.
Also, this wasn't really advertised by Monoprice, but if you hook it up via HDMI it actually has two small speakers. I game via headphones and didn't care, but it was a nice touch.

Ordered for wife. Will be used for work. I've been using dark matter 34" for work and light gaming for 2 years with no complaints after the initial painful calibration.

34" Dark Matter is absolute garbage.
VA panels for gaming. 👎
