The name of this card must be very confusing to French speakers who say Go instead of GB. They may think it's a 1GB card.

Too many reviews saying it melted card readers. I've had SD cards get hot in devices and definitely don't want one melting in my Switch. Every card has a small chance, but there were quite a few mentioning the heat buildup of that particular card.

NOTE! If you planning to get this card for a rog ally don't! My ally did not play nice with this sd card and fried it. Partially it's because of the problem with sd card reader on the ally that ASUS admitted is overheating but other card I have that is a Samsung evo is playing much nicer with the ally even with its crappy sd card slot. Just warning you guys don't buy this card for your ally. Works great in switch and steam deck though. I've used it in both of those also.

I recently returned this 1tb card. I was using it for 2.7k 60 fps video recording with my DJI Osmo Action 3 and it would randomly stop recording after about a minute.

Maybe just my experience, but I tried a 128GB TeamGroup MicroSD in my surveillance camera. After a couple of days it got corrupted. Reformatted and the same thing happened. An older Samsung card works fine in the same camera. Remember these cameras basically fill the card to the brim and erase older video as new stuff is recorded. This doesn't happen with regular cameras, which might only fill up halfway and never stress the capacity. This particular card is in my Samsung pad, maybe 1/4 full, and it works fine. My opinion is that counterfeit cards show their true colors only when they are filled up.

We purchase 10s of thousands of MicroSD cards at work. In my experience, no-name brands have a statistically significant habit of just failing (either outright, corrupted data, other). We stick with Samsung almost exclusively now and have no issues. It used to be that anything <$10 for 128GB or more was pretty much guaranteed to fail, but prices have been dropping so quickly now even on name brands.

Recently we've been buying the following from bulkmemorycards:

$5.65 - 64GB MICRO SAMSUNG EVO PLUS SDXC MEMORY CARD (MB-MC64KA)
$9.15 - 128GB MICRO SAMSUNG EVO SDXC MEMORY CARD (MB-MC128KA)

Not sure why anyone would go with a no-name brand when brand names are about the same price lol

My other theory is that if the name brand high end lines aren't selling MicroSD cards in a given capacity, but no-name brands are, the tech probably isn't yet stable enough for them to take the leap and you shouldn't either.

1TB microSD cards are a great example of this.
