Looking at Camelx3 the price (when in stock) has been around the $4.50-$4.75 mark for the majority of the past year. This is about its normal price with approximately $0.25-$0.50 savings.
If you dont want all black, you can get the 4 color pack for $4.24

I use these. Compared to ultra-fine sharpies, the mark from these doesn't soak in and stick as well on hard surfaces like aluminum. These do mark better on paper: the mark doesn't bleed through or expand (which looks better), and it feels like smoother writing. I keep post-it notes in my pocket that get a little sweat on them. These pens mark that paper better than anything else I've tried.

Do these ever sell for $12 ??
Are these deals exaggerated by inflating the retail price to make the deal appear better than it really is?

I don't believe these ever sell for the "list price," however since I already buy these they'll be a okay filler for S&S that I'll actually need/use.
