Isn't this the cheapest its been? It has always been $1/lb as far as I'm aware. And the 160lb set dropped even more to $140.

Pointless tangent, but when folks say stuff like "Pricing should be X/$" and say the same exact number through decades of inflation...I feel like we are just begging for uselessly cheap products.

Anyone know if I buy the 45lb plates for $74.83, is that for the pair or just a single plate?

Not sure what you're asking -- the Signature bar IS an Olympic bar.

It's rated for 700-lb, which is plenty, if accurate; some bars are only rated 300-310-lb.
My bad, I thought it was 2 different types of bars.

I just bought the 260lb set a couple of weeks ago for about $20 more. Asked Amazon customer service for credit rather than returning and repurchasing, but they want me to return and repurchase since they can't give me the difference. Seems a bit illogical but I need the workout anyways.

My current set is 445mm diameter , these are 450mm...

Is 5mm enough of a difference I shouldn't buy them and I should stick with 445mm? We do lift on a little rubber workout mat (on top of plywood)...
I wouldn't, but I guess it depends on how many plates you have in your current set. If it was the opposite issue (current set is slightly larger), I would go for it and treat this sets 45 like a change plate (put it on last if I need it). Realistically, it probably doesn't matter very much though, since it's only like 1/8" difference to the ground. Who knows if the tolerance is even that good?

Yeah I really am starting to think it won't even be noticeable, as it's 5mm diameter so 2.5mm to the ground. The rubber mats would certainly be touching all the sets.

Looks like the 210 pounds is the lowest price per point compared to 160 and 260. Let me know what you think.

They asked me to do this for some picture frames they shipped that showed up as shattered glass, took longer than I thought but eventually I was able to get to a manager that realized that it didn't make sense to ship and return a pile of broken glass back to Amazon... might be worth trying to keep asking for just a credit.

I purchased these from Walmart a few months ago. I've been extremely pleased with the quality and their durability. Would I have preferred cast iron instead of bumper? Sure, but the prices were outrageous. They do arrive a little oily or greasy with a horrible smell. Takes a couple of days and the smell will go away.

What is the difference between bumpers and iron plates in terms of use case?
