I still using GTX 1080. Should I get 2080 or 3060ti ?
I'm guessing you're not a huge gamer? If you're just browsing the interwebs no, if you play some older AAA games then yes. If you're wanting to play current AAA games then no, you need something newer. I finished Hogwarts on my EVGA 2080 XC Ultra @ 1440p with no issues.

They sure treated me right. A few years ago I had a warranty issue with a 1080 and they upgraded the card to a 1080ti, then upgraded that card a year later when that one had issues to my current 2080 XC Ultra all at no cost to me.

I have 1060 6GB many years old (EVGA ofc so still kicking) but which of these is the cheapest cost effective clear upgrade on that? 2060 12g at $199.99? None? I'm not sure

nvidia does this on purpose. they release one product, get the reviews out, then release another product with the same name but much lower performance. it's a not just the RAM that's lower, everything is cut down. cuda cores, tensor cores, memory controller. it's a COMPLETELY different product. they did the same thing with the gtx 1060, gt 1050, and others. can't recall them all but this happened a lot.

they rely on confusion among consumers to sell defective GPU cores at premium prices
Don't forget the legendary 1030 ddr4. Performed like a 1010 or worse.

I got my own story with my 1080 ti. Basically, my replacements kept dying due to my power supply, and they kept replacing them, with very little question.
Return time was so fast. Talking 2-3 days, you could actually tell they gave a shit too............you can tell after dealing with a fair amount of tech support. I bought the 1080 ti used off of eBay at the beginning of Covid. Warranty transferred over, and they supported me every step of the way, you just can't get that anymore........

Funniest part, it was a seasonic prime psu that kept killing it. Top of the line consumer power supply. Finally got seasonic to swap me to a different model, no more issues. LMAOLMAOLMAO

If I were you I would go RX 6800xt. What is your monitor resolution? If you want 4k at least 6950xt but 1440p 6800 will handle pretty good.

Upgrading from a 1660super, I went with the 3060 Ti FTW3 $289. I hope that turns out to be a good choice.

Also before checking out, google for an "evga associate code", saved me $8.70.
