Likewise, 42" can't hold a candle to 85"

Look we know plasma is superior in many ways but theres a reason why 4K plasmas dont really exist. It is insanely hard for plasma to make pixels small enough for 4K, it was much heavier than LEDs and it doesnt get very bright at all making HDR very infeasible. It was great tech superior to LED in many ways but LED had a lot more headroom in advancement. Plasma was kind of dead end and nobody wanted to spend the R&D to improve it.

My 2020 85in Hisense died exactly 2yrs after delivery and was just out of warranty. It's been sitting in my kitchen since last year bc I'm not sure how to get rid of it. At least this deal has 3yr warranty.

I'm kind of wondering the same thing. I was thinking about putting up a Craigslist ad offering to away a 65" Hisense I purchased for $275 on BF several years ago for free. I figure someone who knows how to fix them could pick it up and end up with a cheap TV.

HDR and 4K put new LED tvs ahead of plasma.

I paid a pretty penny for my Sammy 3d plasma. She sits in my basement TV because I still enjoy watching 3d movies on it.

Cheap? Do free. Get it out of your hair. Isn't just getting it gone ASAP more important than making a few bucks?

People are more apt to think theyight be able to fix it if it's free.
Yeah; I mistyped my post. I meant to say "give away for free". I had been thinking about putting it out at the foot of my driveway on a clear day with a sign saying "free" and then posting on Craigslist and my subdivision's chat forum to see if anyone would want to come pick it up.

Model # or at least the series should really be in the title.

This is the A7 or 85A75H

Lately, a lot of these new TV deal threads have a ton of messages related to how expensive the old TVs were. IMO, this just spams the threads adding no value to the deal being discussed.
Kind of like a post about your opinions does.
