Same price on Amazon currently: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBRP37TT - no mention of it is MFi certified, only recommends to get a MFi certified watch charger as it DOES NOT COME WITH A WATCH CHARGER - you have to connect one you already have.

This only provides Type A output ports. This will not work with your Series 7 or 8 Apple Watch chargers. The Magsafe puck is also limited to 7.5 watts for iPhones, so unless you got a Magsafe case for your android phone, it's not gonna charge nearly as fast as the official Apple Magsafe for the first few minutes

This is not true. It comes with a USB A> C adapter so it will work.

That said there's too many compromises for this for me to buy this. If it was MFI certified or magsafe certified for $17 I would've bit

The big question - does it support iOS 17 landscape mode charging for standby mode and looks like the answer is… yes? I think the marketing copy is too old / standby mode is too new but it should work, right?

I had the same question. It appears for iOS 17 to get the cool lock screen it needs to be in landscape mode. The problem with this charger is it appears if the phone is in landscape mode and a watch is charging they'll bump into each other.
