Not sure what you're seeing on CCC but this has been MUCH cheaper in the past. $280, and if you We're lucky enough during prime day you got it with a $50 gift card included

I picked the Meta Quest 2 a few weeks ago to check it out. The Meta Quest 3 is coming out this fall (date: TBD and will retail for $499 for the basic model).

It is a pretty cool little gadget - not perfect - but good enough to get you to understand what VR is all about. I suppose this will get cheaper or on sale once the MQ3 comes out in a few months.
