Do you know if this is the drive they use in the Seagate One Touch Hub external drives?

Guys these drives are noisy as hell. Anything above 14TB and not filled with helium is going to be noisy. These are enterprise drives not meant for the home environment. unless you are keeping them tucked away in the basement. Smilie

Still noisy. I have a 14TB waiting to be returned. Unless the 20TB is different it's going to make loud thumping noises while accessing data (I was using it in a media player so it constantly makes noises when watching a 4K movie). "tak tak tak tak tak".....quiet for a second or 2 ........ "tak tak tak tak tak"

I then got a WD Red Plus 14TB, completely silent.

I agree about the noise. There isn't much choice on the market. All drives starting from certain capacity will be loud, even the Best Buy Ezstore or WD Element.

X16 is not helium cased. This drive is.

The Exos X16 absolutely is a helium drive. I know, I have one. Don't believe me? Just check the official specs.

BTW, I find the noise level of these drives to be highly dependent on how/where it's mounted.
