I don't think the 5g version does mmwave. 5g is otherwise using THE SAME frequencies as 4g.

In other words, the same spectrum as LTE was in most cases. The millimeter wave 5g is still very limited.

All that said yeah the 5g version of this phone is better. This one's just ok and the price isn't bad.

Side note, they're huge phones. Literally about as much screen as a Nintendo switch. About as big a device minus the controllers.

I actually ran Wi-Fi networks back in those days and microwave ovens did emit enough broad spectrum interference to knock out some Wi-Fi devices in the 2.4 range. This was not from being on the same power circuit as you suggest. It was an observable effect that could be seen using a wireless spectrum analyzer.

I have the 2021 version I got April of 2022. The battery isn't holding a charge as well but the phone runs really well, the finger scanner works the best I ever saw.

got the 2020 G stylus. I don't use the stylus at all. It seemed like a good idea but the granularity is blunt and taking notes is random line shape/thickness. I got too used to the edge grab for going back so much, I tried using another phone and tried it there too. Battery is still good, camera is still basic (12MP, not the 48MP advertised. silly 'quadpixel' wankery). The speakers are starting to sound tinny which makes sense. I sweat all over this thing in the summer and use the speakers at full blast because they worked well in a room.
