Any suggestions for one of these for big bois? (300lbs+)
You'll need a super scooter.

Check out the Segway GT1 or GT2.

Not all scooters are made equal and not all motor ratings are equal. A couple things to note when shopping for a scooter are wattage, suspension/tires, speed, and max distance. You need to understand that these numbers are often given by the manufacturer and not really verified. That being said, there are different price points and anything sub 400 bucks is ultra budget. Hiboy gets a lot of hate in the scooter community because of the build quality and tendency to ship DoAs or have scooters die quickly if used for commuting. For a scoot around the neighborhood every once in a while, this is great at that price, but do not expect 5k miles out of it. For commuting, you will want either air filled tires or suspension, 500w motor MINIMUM, 16mph minimum, and a range 50% more than what you need. A unicorn to find this in this price range though
Lot of the hate is based from people (probably segway fanboys) who need to justify why they paid huge bucks for their e-scooter that similar spec or even lesser spec. It is like people who say that you can't get a good bike for an under $400 sale bike. "You need to buy a big name expensive brand bike for $1K" and that isn't true. I put like a billion miles on my "cheap hybrid bike.". You say $400 sale is ultra budget but Segway has a bunch of entry level scooters on sale right now between $250-400. We always see people say "Stop buying budget or mid-range phones and buy the flagship phones.".... Because? What are the chances of a $1K scooter being stolen too over the $300 scooter? I guess one is going to need to carry an expensive heavy duty lock to protect it. It isn't just about the higher spec. It is about value and what the customer's needs/wants are.

With all those broken down Hiboy scooters, it sure has very highly rated reviews on Amazon from verified purchasers. 4.4 out of 5 review score is pretty good out of thousands of verified purchases especially when bad reviews are heard more than positive reviews. Very high majority of people are definitely happy with their purchases.

A Ninebot KickScooter F65 is on sale for $800. It has lot of the features that you stated but it is apples and oranges when there is such a huge price difference so it doesn't make much sense to compare entry level scooters VS high end scooters. A budget entry level Ninebot KickScooter ES2 is on sale for $249.99 but it has 187 watt motor, 15mph max speed and 15 mile range. I would rather pay lil bit more for a much better spec scooter that has a lesser name brand. It isn't like hiboy is a no name brand.

What scooter do you recommend with those wanted specs that you listed and how much does it cost?

Don't get me wrong, I agree with everything you are saying. The specs are great on this for the cost. I do not commute on mine, so I would consider this. My personal is a hover alpha 1. Similar specs to this, but air filled tires make the ride smoother. It is a low budget option, but meets my needs.

How much is to replace the battery? Authentic battery or cheap generic? Did you put a lot of mileage on it?

Oh sheesh. I started looking at the Hiboy sale scooters.

"Oh the Hiboy KS4 Pro is only $170 more."..... at $470.

"Oh the Hiboy S2 Max is only an extra $130 more than the KS4 Pro".... at $600.

Folding locks are probably fine for the entry level e-scooter but I think a stronger lock would be needed for the more expensive e-scooter. E-scooters are getting really popular. No way would I even think about a cable lock even though I see people riding $1000 bikes/e-bikes with cable locks. Riding with a uncomfortable lock in backpack hurts the riding experience to me. I ride with u-locks with my bikes but they are in a trunk bag... Not in a backpack on my bike. For that, I would consider the entry level scooter with a folding lock attached to the stem.

FYI the protection plan is 64.99 for 3 years if you buy from Hiboy. It's 75.99 for 2 years if you buy on Amazon.

I use a Bulldog mini u-lock mounted on the stem of my scooter. Just clip it around the stem to lock.

No. The max weight is the max weight. The will work, just slowly and probably not up a gradient.
