Answer from Vitamix customer support, "Vitamix honors the warranty of products purchased under these circumstances, the warranty for the product would begin based on the product's date of manufacture, rather than the date of purchase from this website (Woot), which is determined by the Vitamix's serial number.

Since this is the case, a portion or the entirety of the advertised warranty coverage may have passed or may be expired, as a result."

Regarding the warranty, I bought one a few months back from Woot as an open box in Periwinkle and the mfr. date was Sept 2021 - so there is still a large amount of the warranty left.

Thx, tho that's kind of a crappy policy. I hope these haven't been sitting in amazon/woot's warehouse for a long time.

I feel like it's some kind of word trickery. If it was new why wouldn't they just say new? Maybe the boxes or the pallet fell and the packages have minor damage or imperfections. They don't quite look new anymore but since they technically haven't been opened they'll say that? Idk.

I had the socket failed on my vitamix pro 300 series after 10 years of usage, changing the socket in my vitamix pro 300 was a pain in the ass. I would recommend buying the OEM socket for your Vitamix instead of the 3rd party socket.
