I'm guessing we will see some good deals in November/December this year. The severe shortage has ended and we're probably moving toward a glut. Maybe get the system and a bundled game for $400?

There's a lot of speculation going on around this price drop, which is confirmed as official from Sony.

Could something new be on the horizon? Or is the price of these devices going to fall like computer parts have been recently?

When you can pick up a RTX 3060 for $200, this is a lot less compelling than it was when they were $550+. But maybe you are all-in on Sony's ecosystem and exclusives.

Seems like these consoles should be much cheaper than original MSRP three years after launch. I remember scoring Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo consoles around that time out with huge markdowns and bundles to keep people buying. Even my 360 was marked down substantially with a nice bundle at like 1.5 years out from launch.

Black Friday is going to be absolute nuts for consoles. A month ago I thought PS5 disc had a chance for $399. Now I think we see bundles for $399. And possibly ahead of BF as it seems stores get more aggressive every year for holiday shoppers.

New prediction: PS5 disc + game bundle $399 at all retailers. Possible PS5 + game + controller $399 bundle single day offer. This console has literally gotten cheaper every month this year.

For me in the past I mainly bought a ps3 and ps4 for mlb the show games. Also ended up playing last of us and uncharted which are great. I guess I can be patient for ps5 since no exclusives have caught my attention and there isn't a new last of us or uncharted anytime soon. Still have a ps4 pro currently, although my 1 year subscription expires in a week. I'll probably renew if a $40 essential one year deal pops up

Looking into a PS5, seems like most games are on PS4 and games are not using PS5 level graphics.
Any idea when the unreal 5 based games land as it makes sense to keep PS4 until then.

Anyone else having issues paying with ApplePay?
While in cart you can choose to sign in or check out with many forms of payment. I chose ApplePay. I get the confirmation ding but, then returned to confirm order and cant proceed. Thoughts? Thanks.

That's would be nice, but don't hold your breath. They've been selling well enough they don't have a good reason to drop it that far. At best we'll see a slim at $400 when they introduce a pro at $500+.
