But we all know servers are historically good at lying about cash tips... Many don't report that income so they can on top of that, pay lower taxes and qualify for government programs.
Tipping is the most ludicrous service in America. If I order a chicken dish vs a lobster dish, both dishes require the same amount of work for the server... why should I pay them more because I chose a lobster dish?

Certain menu items already come with a side of pancakes. For these items, the side also becomes unlimited (except for the 55+ items).
If you don't want to tip, don't dine in at full service restaurants. I choose this option often. And I avoid a lot of services that I might otherwise have to tip, like using valet, bellhop, food delivery.
FWIW in my state servers make the local minimum wage, which is $16 to $19 near me. (ONE CITY HAS $16, ONE HAS $19)
Same as someone who works at Target, the grocery store, the gas station, some caregivers. BUT none of those people get tips on top of the minimum.
NOW restaurants here are adding another "fee" at the restaurants from 10% to 20% (which sometimes goes to employee healthcare but mostly goes into owner's pockets.
So basically a 40% surcharge if you sit down to eat. (20% fee + 20% tip).
They can F off with that. And now some are charging a tip of 15-20% automatically for pick up orders. Nope.
Not that a "minimum" wage ANYWHERE is a LIVING wage...but back to pancakes.
Seems like the best deal is to get a combo and eat that and take the pancakes to go.

I can't imagine the lack of integrity and moral compass it takes to demand the service and then stiff the server. Likewise, if you are trying to protest the owners of the restaurants "not paying their workers" I don't see how stiffing an hourly worker and paying the owner anyhow counts as a protest. It just looks like stiffing your server.
