For anyone thinking 250 feet is too much, i just re did my bathroom, and bought 2 - 25' rolls and a 50 foot roll not realizing how much i needed, and I spent this much all together, Just get 250 feet.
He obviously isn't talking about overloading any lights.
As he said, "less worries about any type of overload potentially".
The point is, and it's a very wise point, is to not just wire a circuit for your immediate needs, but to also take into account any future loads, as that circuit will also be hidden in walls, attics, etc for many decades in the future.
Overload lights? C'mon. It's also a lot easier to pull 14 and if you want a separate switch for the ceiling fan you need 14/3 which was $168 for 250ft.

Not sure why anyone would ever use 14 vs 12 gauge. Yes, I get it, lights only require 14 but so what, just a few dollars more get heavier gauge and much less worries about any type of overload potential, especially for wire that will probably be in attic, under house or in walls.

38654 seems to have LOADS better prices than 14086. Especially when it comes to 12/3 250 foot. We are paying $250 a roll where as you guys are at $160. Anybody know of a state to state shipping hack??

Is the wire good for installing NEMA 14-50?
Good lord no. You will want at least 8 gauge, but 6 would be safer.

Typically, 6/3 is used for a 14-50, but I assume you're asking about an EV charger (since you mentioned the NEMA), in which case 6/2 would actually work just fine if you can find it.

Probably because this is slickdeals full of cheap people looking for a deal, nothing wrong with using in shed ect. Contractors use this in new houses because wire is so expensive. 12 ga is better but we are talking price

Thanks for posting the deal. Pricematched using Lowes chat to $108 from $139 in northern CA. Plus I used the Lowes CC for 5% off with free delivery.
