BPA free means it has BPS, which is effectively the same. I hate plastic anything these days.

What does BPA-free even mean. They have BPS, which is just as bad, if not worse than BPA.

Based on my Vitamix experience, anything is going to be better than vitamix. Vitamix is extremely overhyped, and customer service is awful.

No, Vitamix is not at all over-hyped!

They make a very solid product, as evidenced by being willing to put such long warranties on their products for one.

They have great customer service!

I've owned and used a 5300 for like eight or nine years now, and the thing is still beast mode.

Factoring in the customer service, quality, and long warranties, they are not overpriced, especially if you get one on one of the fairly frequent sales.
