The 4060 Ti comes with more VRAM, so is that a better deal??

Both these cards have a smaller memory Bus that hampers performance fairly significantly.

This generation of GPUs is like picking your poison because they are trying to upsell you to the flagship 4090.

This is a pretty good price for the card, but GPU prices continue to fall. No end in sight. I'm holding tight with my 1660 Super until the market settles down a little.

4060ti is garbage tier gpu and the 16gb is held back by the chip, it's slower than the 3070. 12gb is more than enough and the 4070 is actually a performance improvement.

This gen is such a let down from both AMD and Nvidia so far. Either way to expensive or gimped cards. How Nvidia thought going from $700 for the 3080 to $1200 for the 4080 was a good idea is beyond me. Or the fact they want to cheap out with vram on there cards is just crazy. AMD might bring some hope back into the market if they price the 7800 and 7700 accordingly but I think everyone has written this gen off and are looking forward to next gen next fall.

If you're planning to use AI programs like stable diffusion 4060 16gb is better. If you're only using it for gaming 4070 is better

Avoid this card. Read Guru3D reviews. Some VRM locations on all 4070 Ventus cards don't have thermal pads and reach over 90 degree C under thermal camera.
Those locations do not have flat copper plates.
You might be able to get creative and experiment different thickness of thermal pad to let the pads touch the fin stack.
However, how could customers trust that MSI didn't cheap out and cut corners on other components if it cheap out on a few thermal pads.

Latest rumor from Nvidia is new cards won't release until 2025.

It's encouraging to see prices start dropping on these cards this soon. Maybe prices will be reasonable again by years end.

I dunno, if you are using an Nvidia 1000 series and below (and whatever the Radeon equivalent is), and jumping to a 4000 series...that would be a huge upgrade.
