For context, Xbox just announced that Xbox Live Gold will be replaced with Xbox Game Pass Core [xbox.com] and a lot of XBLG resellers are liquidating their codes in case they get devalued.

Wow didn't see this. Was going to convert gold to gamepass when my subscription expires in Dec. Hopefully any gold would still be good then.

According to the Xbox site, any XBLG time you have banked will roll over into Game Pass Core when the transition occurs.

I'm currently dealing with a bad transaction with CDKeys.

On Saturday, I paid for a 3 month XBox Live Ultimate membership code.
The code they sent was already used.

I immediately contacted them with screenshots.

They sent an automated reply.

I have not heard back, despite sending multiple other emails.

I had used them before with no problem, but never again.

Unless you want a headache, avoid CDKeys.

I have XBox Gamepass that expires 9/8/23. Stacked that with the conversion years ago thanks to SD.

What is best option and time to apply this 1 yr code or stack 3 month codes from other deal with current account status to max out.

Same thing happened to me about a month ago. The past times I bought from them, all transactions were easy-peasy. Not sure what happened though but yes, SO MANY automated replies. I eventually did get my money back but it took a while

I used the Eneba deal. Bough 10 + 9, to max out my 3 years of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. 3 years -> 2 years of Xbox GPU. Then another 7 cards for the 3rd year. Done and done. Spent about $150. No issues at all.

Wait till your GPU expires, fully top up your account with live gold codes, and do the 3:2 conversion (you'll get 2 years of GPU) is probably the best option. The only unpredictable thing is fluctuation of price for gold codes. But since your membership is expiring soon in a month, I don't see any shortage of these codes by that time.

For the 3rd year of GPU, you'll have to choose between using 3-month gold codes (50 days of GPU for each 3-month gold, usually ~$8 for such code) or waiting for another 2 years to do the conversion again. But who knows what the conversion ratio is or if there is even any cheap gold codes in key shop in September 2025. Microsoft can lower the conversion ratio again.

Is the 1:1 conversion still possible once an account laps?
Got a friend who's coming up on the end of his 3 year top up.
If not, what might be best option to duplicate the 3 year deal?

when redeem 3 month cards it gives you free month when enable autopay. Then disable redeem another prompts again.

so (3) 3 month gold cards = 9 months and free 3 months is around $20 for 12 months on Eneba deal half the price.

I disabled the auto-renew, and I never got prompted for the free additional month. I did redeem via the website on my phone browser. I did get the $1 GPU offer, which was a nice $15 savings I didn't expect. I had previously used same $1 GPU offer 2 1/2 years ago.

It should be good, but will convert at 3:2 ratio to GPU. Must let your GPU subscription expire before doing the conversion again.
