Ty for the list.

If you also have Amazon Prime, here's a link to the AmazonClassics books that are free to listen. It's kind of like a library. You can "check out" 10 books at once. Then, you have to 'return' an audio book to get another.

Here's a link I found to a page on Audible called Free Listens. It includes additional titles from the main posting including a few Audible Originals and podcasts.

I tracked that silly list down one at a time. I had no idea there was an easy way to find these. Thank you.

I happened to see Impact Winter scroll by & added it to my OP. I'd recommend it for a little light "reading".

I just wanted to mention that the Compleat Angler was written by Izaak Walton (Johnson's the narrator). Legendary book.
Helpful list, thank you! I've been working through these during my 3 day migraines; very soothing. I just finished the Barsetshire Chronicles and they're great--light and very funny and the narrator is wonderful.

Which of these books are actually worth listening too?

I'm overwhelmed with content, so I tend to stick to the most well known popular works (for now). Any suggestions?

Overdrive has been phasing out for several years. It officially handed the reins over to Libby in May.

I think the only available library apps now are Libby, hoopla & Kanopy. Your library card determines which you can have access to. I thought all lend their titles for a limited time, just like the main libraries? I've always just returned everything. The only similar program I know that allows people to keep their downloads is Freegal.

That takes some of the fun out of it. My favorite thing to do when I was a kid was wander the library & pick out books mostly because I liked the cover or the title. I'd read the jacket & spend 3 minutes flipping through the pages. Found some good stuff that way.

But, if you must...

You might give us something to go on. What's your favorites? Books? Genres? Listening time?

Of that list, I see Robinson Crusoe, Sherlock and Three Musketeers. I typically like history (typically of leaders like Genghis Khan, Marcus Aurelius, etc), science fiction, philosophical and embarrassingly video game fiction. Love stuff from Isaac Asimov for instance.

I also enjoy topics of economics, personal finance, investments and business/entrepreneurship.

Light fair. I enjoyed the story & I enjoyed the production.

The one thing I really dislike about audiobooks is how bad narration can wreck a good story. Unfortunately, I haven't listened to any of the rest, yet. I was looking for some new books which was how we got here.
