Note that you'll pay a lot more than $84 total. There's also a "resort fee" and then of course the taxes and fees. I think my wife booked a night closer to $130. Not a bad deal for 4 people to get into a waterpark for two days and have a hotel room.
We have visited the PA one almost 1x per year. We just went about a month ago and I will admit the "feeling" isn't the same. For instance, the main lobby had a very cozy feeling with sofas and decorations for the seasons. Now, it's just an emtpy space. The resort also removed all microwaves in the rooms (probably to force people to just buy more food) with one per floor in the ice machine room. Even though the focus isn't to use the microwave much, it was PITA to walk over to the room with the microwave and wait for others to finish using it.

The Arcade also used to be kid friendly so kids could have fun winning "something" here and there. Now, everything is extremely rigged to "maybe" payout like 1x every 30+ plays. In other words, even though the kids would want to go to the arcade, I would avoid it completely. Not to mention, the cost per gameplay is ridiculous. I think it comes to like 2 to 3 dollars PER play...

Regarding this 84 per night gimmick, I've tried and no joke, but the days where the 84 applies are the most obscure days during the week and it's only a few days here and there. So if you are planning for a weekend trip, don't expect much.

As many have mentioned, those resort fees do hit hard. Even though the amenities might not add up to the total fee amount, make sure to get those headband ears. Might not be worth the 30+ you pay per night, but it's something lol.

Overall, it can still be a worthwhile trip since if the cost of an entrance to most parks are about 30 to 40 per person. If a family of 4 goes for a day, it comes out to about the same while also including a night to sleep in.
Also, if you are interested, Groupon usually has sales on this place as well too, and theirs include 6 passes (instead of the standard 4, and each extra is $50). It maybe cheaper if you are going with a larger party to do via groupon instead.

My 8 & 5 year olds had a blast at the Atlanta, GA one early this year. A 3 night stay was just about perfect. We finished the main magiquest story, hit the waterpark a ton, and did a couple dance parties. Kids were worn out and still talk about how much fun it was. More days would have gotten repetitive, and kids would have been grumpy zombies.

I will definitely be looking into this sale for a couple nights. Thanks OP!

We did LaGrange when our kids were roughly the same age. There were definitely a FEW arguments and tears around the cost of food, Magiquest upgrades, etc, but nothing worse than a typical Disney trip Smilie

Might give this another shot now that they're 12 and 10, but I would probably just do one night -- arrive early on checkin day and stay late on checkout day. That's the most cost-effective option for anyone within a couple hours' drive, IMO. I felt a lot of diminishing returns after that point, especially with tired and cranky kids.

Is the water park entry also included in the lodge/stay ticket?

$84 per adult for both lodging and water play? How much for kids? What is included in the lodging (like food is inclusive)?

It's this price for the room, up to 4 people in the room. All people in the room get entry for the day of arrival and the next day. So if you can get 4 paying adults in a single room, it's very affordable.

We've done the lodge in the Poconos in PA. There are some great local places to eat that you don't have to spend a lot to eat in the hotel. Rooms are clean and large. There isn't much for a 5 yr old to do, some of the toddler areas are a bit to small and the big slides are limited at this location. They are building an expansion but it's not ready just yet.

We did this once. Waterpark is included. You should get the amount of wristbands for the number of guests that are staying in the room. $84 should be the room + waterpark for everyone. There might be other fees/taxes. Food is not included. They also have mini golf, rope bridges, and other attractions, but those are extra fees. Basically the room price comes w/ the waterpark that's it.

You can use the waterpark for the day you check in and day you checkout too.

Pretty fun. We stayed at the one in Georgia years ago.
