Nope, this has an IPS panel. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...20in%20HDR.
As a side note, the Acer is an objectively better monitor than the Omen 27q, if you get panels from both. The new 27q is a downgraded version of the old x27q that HP sold for the same price. I bought both (both had LG panels), the Acer was much better, and the Rtings tests agree. It's a panel lottery with either one, as both monitors are shipped with either an LG panel or a worse BOE panel at random.

This, the other acer that was posted, or wait for something like the HP 27q?
Read my previous comment. I know nothing about this Asus monitor other than what's in the Rtings tests, but I recently bought both the Acer and the LG. The Acer was much better on the ones that I bought, so I returned the LG. The LG did have extreme IPS glow, though. So much so that the entire display was tinted amber.

You may want to double check that model number. From the q and a on the Amazon page it's a TN panel.

The q&a also says it's an IPS panel about 10 times. Looks like we were both wrong. Asus has it listed as a VA panel on their site (someone else commented with the link). Asus, like many manufacturers has confusing model numbers with similar numbers for different panels, and Amazon mixes reviews from multiple different monitors.

I agree.

Is this ASUS better than the Acer Nitro that also went on sale for $199 today?
Limited-time deal: Acer Nitro 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440 PC Gaming IPS Monitor | AMD FreeSync Premium | Up to 180Hz Refresh | Up to 0.5ms | DCI-P3 95% | 1 x Display Port 1.2 & 2 x HDMI 2.0 | XV271U M3bmiiprx https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C4Z8RFY9
Specs seem pretty similar, but apparently the Acer Nitro maxes out at 250nits brightness

asus is a better brand. acer doesn't have that great of a track record, just do a search on ebay you will see that they sell a ton of refurbs.
