Whey isolate is more if you are cutting and need to watch your calories (less fat) or are sensitive to whey/dairy. Otherwise whey protein is pretty much the same

Beyond the hype of the purity of the protein, has anyone actually seen better gains with this than other less expensive proteins? I've bought the 7.5 lbs one a few times and exercise pretty aggressively, but haven't found this to be any more beneficial than ON or nitrotech ones.

Less cholesterol, fat, slightly less carbs, and slightly less calories usually. Usually better on the stomach as well.
