I have both this keyboard and the Microsoft Sculpt keyboard. At work, I switched to the Logitech keyboard because it had the built in numeric keypad on the side. At home, I kept the Sculpt, since the numeric keypad is separate and could be stored away. Basically, the Sculpt is a TKL (Ten Key Less) keyboard.

I like the typing feel of the Sculpt better, but the Logitech keyboard was easier to use, since it had the traditional keyboard layout that I was used to. It was also nice that the Logitech keyboard could be used with the Logitech universal USB receiver.

They're both very close, and unless you need the full keyboard, I'd probably stick with the Microsoft Sculpt.

I can't speak to this on a first-hand basis, but I have seen several reviews where others switched to this keyboard from the Sculpt as they found it to be better.

This slickdeals post has multiple comments where people compare it to the Sculpt:

This has been my main keyboard for the last few years. I do a mix of WFH and gaming, often multiple hours per day, and it's been working great. It's comfy and the insert/delete/home key cluster is laid out in the standard format, which for some reason seems to be rare on ergo keyboards.

The lettering has started wearing off on several keys but I'm a touch typist so no big deal.

I have this as well and can confirm that the key lettering does wear off. Been using this since the beginning of COVID

I agree with this 100%. 2 years ago I bought a Sculpt, but a key broke. Last year I bought a second Sculpt, but another key broke. Ultimately ended up with this and no complaints aside from the 10-key that I personally don't use.

Another downside about the Sculpt is if you lose the USB receiver, you're SOL. Logitech's unify reciver solves this problem.

thank you all for those great feedback. (I'm a Mac user, had used sculpt for years with Mac and the only thing I not satisfy is it not design for MacOS.)

I have a few sculpts and they have been durable. The ergo is much lower quality and the letters on the keys wears off pretty quickly.

The layout of the ergo is good and the unifying dongle is a plus, but it's a low quality product being sold for a high price.

If it were $20 instead of $100+, I might be a bit more lenient, but it feels like a disposable keyboard.

I own a few older premium Logitech products and have had no issues with them and they still look and work like new, unlike this keyboard.

I've never used the sculpt, but I'm a huge fan of the Ergo. My keys haven't faded yet and I've been using it for about 8 months. The pad has noticeable fading since I purchased it though. It looks ratty considering how much I dropped for it but my wrists don't hurt anymore so the trade is worth it to me.

Paid full price, along with the upright mouse. Best combo and saved my wrist/hand pain. Well worth it.
