This is not as good as the BONUS400 from 3 years ago, but this is the best offer we have seen from Capital One to open a 360 checking account.

Here's the full scoop on how to earn your $350 bonus:
Open a 360 Checking account between 12:00 a.m. ET on August 2, 2023 and 11:59 p.m. ET on
January 9, 2024. When you open your account, ensure you enter in the promotional code BONUS350 in the Promo Code box.
Set up and receive at least 2 qualifying direct deposits each of $250 or more to your 360 Checking account within 75 days of account opening. A Qualifying Direct Deposit is a regular periodic payment, such as salary, pension, government payments (for example, Social Security), or other monthly income that occurs as an Automated Clearing House (ACH) or Real-Time Payment network credit from your employer or an outside institution. ACH credits or fund transfers initiated via the Capital One website or mobile app and wires are not considered a Qualifying Direct Deposit.
When will I get my bonus?
Your bonus will be deposited into your account within 60 days after you have completed the requirements above. This 60-day period begins the day after your second Qualifying Direct Deposit has been posted to your account.
This account is subject to approval. This offer cannot be combined with any other 360 Checking account opening offers. Only one promotional code is accepted per account. Bonus is only valid for one new 360 Checking account. The amount of your bonus will be reported on IRS form 1099-INT to the IRS (and your state revenue authority, if required).
If you have or had an open 360 Checking, Simply Checking, Total Control Checking or Money Teen Checking account as a primary or secondary account holder with Capital One on or after January 1, 2021, you will be ineligible for the bonus. If your account is in default, closed or suspended, or otherwise not in good standing, you will not receive the bonus.

My bonus code didn't apply even though I entered it because my online application could not be completed after entering my personal info and bonus code and it told me to call them to verify some information. After calling, I noticed that the bonus code was removed and there was no way to enter it when continuing the last step of the online application. They confirmed that the code was not applied after the online application was complete and said they can do a manual review and apply the bonus after I fulfilled the required qualifications.
I got an email after 3-4 days that my account is approved
capone says "deposit from jpmorgan chase ext trnsfr". memo ext trnsfr
is this good to go?
PS - Love the handle. Big New Order and Joy Division fan myself.
EDIT: I just modfied the Direct Deposit on my company's HR site to send $275 to my Capital One 360 account each pay period (and the remainder to my Chase Checking) -- just to be extra sure that I hit the target.
Regarding my own situation with this promo, I made my first transfer via Chase checking as well, choosing the standard method. It only took a day, overnight.
The only semi concerning thing was that I called them this morning to confirm the bonus code was activated with the opening of the account, as I was one of those people who needed to make a phone call to them mid-opening to confirm a couple of details apparently. The dude on the next page mentioned he had the same situation and it erased his promo, anyway Capital One said that did not happen to me and the promo is present and correct. She did say that the deposit needs to be a direct deposit, she saw that I had made one standard transfer already (ACH) and felt the need to say that this was not worthy of completing the promo.
Now I've has CS interactions enough to know that it's not often the case the advisor, knows everything or has experienced every scenario, so I will follow up with another standard transfer, but it was something to note she saying that.
Hopefully someone on here has some success with 2 ACH transfers and can report back.
I've had conflicting advice on this, with a Capital One advisor saying it needs to be a Direct Deposit (employer, pension etc), but often they don't know the success rate of everyone using other means so that is hardly gospel.
Would be great to know if someone has confirmed success after 2 standard transfers.
