Maybe not worth the new thread, but as I and others have been pointing out, the bundle prices online don't always match what the bundles are ringing up for in store. If you're near a micro center, it's worth going in and working with a sales associate to bundle it, it may be cheaper. They'll print out a price sheet when they put in the order, and it'll show the price before you get to the register.

I also pointed out in a different thread but it's worth repeating. When I went in to bundle with the 7950X3D, I didn't reserve it online. The sales associate said the RAM was out of stock and offered to check with his manager about offering a different set in its place. Even if it shows out of stock, they might be willing to work with you to make a sale. It might not be as good, it could potentially be better. They also eventually found the bundled RAM in the back; I think there were a handful of reservations placed that were never picked up, so the website may say out of stock but the store might still have it. You won't know if you don't try, which I highly recommend if you're even on the fence.

These bundles have also changed about once every two months or so between prices and components for the few months. If you aren't sold yet, it could change next month.

Lastly, I was able to get the $25 new customer discount. It required the cashier to individually price and scan items based on the sale price without scanning it as a bundle. UFD Tech on YouTube has a video up sponsored by Micro Center which specifically calls out these bundles and that the discount applies. https://youtu.be/wO4QiOrk81o @3:29. It could be worth referencing if they say it's not meant to work that way. YMMV.

I bought it in store and the cashier rang up each item one by one and the total was $649+. Then the cashier did some keystrokes to make it the $400 bundle. No discounts applied up to that point.

Had to use the new customer $25 off discount and had to get a manager to do it manually. Scanning the coupon was not enough. The manager did it quickly since they were very busy.

$403.99 after $25 coupon OTD. Was in the Tustin, CA location.

Oh that's a great combo. Add a 7900XT for around 700 and a decent monitor for 300 and you've got a stonking setup

Many thanks to the OP for listing this deal. Grabbed the combo yesterday. Now just need to find a quality case and power supply.

Can I get some advice? Would this be good package to target, we have a Microcenter local to us. My son seeking to upgrade his gaming system, his is dated with following specs:

MB: Z390-A MB
CPU: i7-6700k @ 4 gHz
Video: GeForce GTX 1060 DirectX 12 GAMING X 3GB 192-Bit GDDR5
RAM: EVGA 16GB 2 x 8GB DDR4-3200 PC4-25600

Hopefully can keep existing case:
Fractal R5
Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S
Power: EVGA 850P2

Suggestions? My son was looking pair this combo with a 4060 GPU for $300.

That's overkill for stock. I used a $20 deep cool cooler with 12900k and temps never got to a point where I can hear the fans.
Which cooler did you get?

The Noctua can cool an i9 but it might struggle with that Fractal case unless you're able to add additional fans, an air cooler is only as good as the case's airflow. If your son is only gaming, it might be worth considering AMD, they perform competitively with half the power draw. If he's not chasing every single frame on a 1440p 240hz monitor in a demanding game, he'll have an identical experience. AMD bundles come with Starfield, which is a nice bonus ($70-100)

This is a really good system, just like you but for my nephew i just build this 12700k with mATX case and motherboard for him. My advise and 2 cents, get this combo and get a better motherboard (even cheaper) Asus TUF B760 matx or Gigabyte, i like them both ( B series means no overcloacking, Z series for overcloacking).

You can return later the ram and the motherboard ( i did it twice) and get better memory for 60 bucks T-force or Corsair 3600mhz if you are going for the DDR4 or get any z760 mobo which are DDR5 and get those memory 5200 or 5600.. same price amazon or microcenter. In my case i went for the B660 Matx with the t-force DDR4.

Intel Arc a750... all cost 650. I will show you later the pc Monster pc for him.

I built my first PC about 6-7 years ago now, and its starting to die on me and needs an upgrade. When planning for an upgrade, do i need to repurchase all my windows licenses again or can they be reused? i originally had a windows 8 license and upgraded to 10 when it became free.

If there is a good guide on doing a PC rebuild and check list of stuff to do before hand it would be greatly appreciated if someone could share it. would like to avoid blowing a lot of money right now on a new build.

General question: does having 16 cores as opposed to 5, yield any noticeable benefit for a NON-gamer whose computer use consists only of multitasking (having several Office apps and multi-tab/window web browsing happening at the same time)? I have a 10 year old build consisting of i5, SSD, and 32GB RAM, was curious if I'd get any appreciable benefit from upgrading to this bundle. My processor's clockspeed is around 3GHz, about the same as this one's, the main difference being in the number of physical cores.

For basic multitasking like Office apps and web browsing, you probably wouldn't notice much improvement. HDD storage and low GB of memory are usually the bottlenecks for those tasks and you already have an SSD and 32GB RAM.If you run up huge spreadsheets with thousands of items and complex mathematical calculations, you might notice a difference, but otherwise, probably not unless you find your experience noticeably sluggish. Which could probably be resolved with debloating your apps, turning off Windows UI animations, installing no-script and adblock to your browser, etc.
