I just looked at the 85inch in store today and it kind of blew me away. It was as bright as the OLED next to it and have quite a good viewing angle compared to other LCD tvs. The blacks looked pretty deep, though it's hard to tell in a bright store of course.

Anyone have any experience?

Consider looking into the X90L. I'm hoping the 65" model will drop to this price by Black Friday.
Some noticeable processing improvements with this year's model compared to the X90K.

Saw this exact TV in 75" on sale for $1000 in store today. Probably YMMV clearance pricing, pricetag had the star (*) of death on it

Can you tell us what the specific improvements are with the L over the K? In other words, what makes it worth waiting for?

supposedly more dimming zones equate to better local dimming, brighter hdr, potentially better reflection handling.. the K is no slouch but look away if local dimming is high on your list.. I have the 85" x90k and its been a great value.. however i am eyeballin the x90L for my bedroom next..

we'll find out in a week or two from Rtings if there are any improvements..either K or L, the upscaling, colors, and motion will be the best of any other manufacturer

that's a general rule, but this screen doesnt exactly blow OLED's brightness out of the water.. according to Rtings, the X90K vs OLED are equally matched in this department.. also the content is affected by the reflections on this TV vs an OLED which has much better reflection handling

another video that would great to learn from

it proves that the number of dimming zones does not equate to a better viewing exprience
