It's not made in China that is problematic. When an entire company exists in China and has no retail presence in the US things as simple as finding a customer service number are impossible. On day 31 when Amazon won't take it back anymore you have almost certainly lost any ability to have your problems addressed. Please don't fall for the lie about 24 hour customer service and 1 year warranty.

It looks like this does have a pcie slot. Here is the service manual which lists a pcie x16, it will be half height though. https://download.lenovo.com/consu...202207.pdf

Also here is the psref with all of the configurations

https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/...7_Spec.pdf

One m.2 slot, 2 ram slots.
Lots of proprietary stuff so you would have a hard time transferring this to a new case.

The i5-12400 is a really decent cpu and costs 185 alone. So if you were thinking of getting one and need a placeholder, 90 bucks extra for all of the other components isn't bad.

Bosgame dude start your own thread, that is a completely different thing.

This is a good deal with 12th gen cpu. I think this has the pci based on pdf found online. I hope someone who has this particular one can confirm. This would be good for homelab based on 12th gen cpu, 16gb mem and 512gb ssd. It comes with 2 years square trade warranty.

What do you guys think?

Definitely *NOT* worth a $276 + tax investment.

Here's a much better Ryzen 7 7735HS + 32GB DDR5 for $450 (+$174):

I didn't even look hard for this config for price.
Again, imho, buying this Lenovo @ $276 is a poor value-for-$ choice given current alternatives.
What a little beast of a machine. Thanks for sharing

Decent deal but the HP 5600g with RX 6400 or 5500 is better.

Yw. I bought this Bosgame H77 for $460 about 1.5 months, and it's worth every penny. The only thing I would change is one additional USB-C. I fixed that, though, with a USB-A (M) to USB-C (F) 3.1 adapter @ 2/$9. Throttles one 3.2 to 3.1, but it's just one, but I have 3 other USB-A 3.2 ports that can transfer at full 20gbps.

That's not available right now either, though. Hard to tell if and when it will be back in stock

I wish this was the next step up 12500 or 12500t. I am wanting to build a Plex machine, and I would prefer the UHD 770 for transcoding.

What are you transcoding? The i5-12400 should be really strong at transcoding with quicksync

  1. Of course the Bosgame is a different form factor. This Lenovo deal was not posted because of its form factor.
  2. I was clear about config-for-price and value-for-dollar factor(s).
  3. I am sooo sick of this "made in China" non-sensical criticism, especially when the OP's Lenovo was highly likely made in...CHINA. Easy searches yield authoritative sources that state most Lenovo's are made in China.
  4. "Unknown brand" -- So what? Unknown brands become KNOWN when consumers try them and offer experience feedback to the public. Besides, my purchase was covered by AMAZON's return policy; so, literally no added purchase risk.
Finally, as I posted, I've been using the Bosgame H77 daily for 1.5 months, and I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a desktop in a heartbeat, so long as they don't need add-in card expansion capabilities.

Can you link the PDF ?. Everywhere I search it shows the PCI slots are missing from the board.

Also, the bosgame is only better at gaming, if you're doing business stuff, coding, transcoding, editing, basically anything other than gaming, the 12400 is probably going to out perform it due to the considerably more robust instruction sets the Intel chips have, and if you get this, then the Intel arc card that's on sale on the FP, it might even beat the bosgame on gaming performance for pretty close to the same total price
