Yes you have to buy three and I know that's kind of absurd. Yes you can find other stuff to mix and match to get to the required >$2000 coupon amount. No, nothing else in subwoofers seems to be as good of a per-unit deal than this to me, except maybe one dual 12" + one single 12", which I wouldn't do because the dual 12" is even more stupid heavy.

What's good:
- $500 per sub, shipped, is a great per-unit deal.
- Unlike the previous deal on the 10" model, 12" model is a sweet spot minimum for a lot of rooms, and two would be good for a lot of bigger rooms. Just my opinion but these will get the job done in a lot more applications than the 10" model.
What's bad:
- You have to buy 3, or otherwise mix stuff to get over the $2000 coupon code requirement. No other sub combo buy sticks out to me as as strong of a deal, but you could certainly pair two with a set of speakers and come out good as well, unfortunately no good deals stick out on the THX line, only the lesser lines. One dual 12 and one single 12 also works out. No 15 available at this time to try and work out.
- These are heavy as hell for a 12" sub, even if the size is somewhat workable... 115lbs per is no joke, that's about 3x heavier than most common 12" subs. It's a particularly absurd trait of these and shouldn't be ignored.
