Doesn't require a EDU email, but they do use SheerID to verify you. If your information is in their database (name, birthday, and college) then you are verified. Same process as Spotify Student

Are parents can sign up for kids using their school ID?
Pretty sure it's meant for college students. Not sure about Walmart but usually these student deals require a valid email ending with .edu upon signing up. I've seen people selling student email accounts on e b a y before but IDK how legit it would be. If you have a kid in college just tell them you'll sign up with their email and pay for it and both of you can share the account/benefits.

I verified easily on UniDays and ID.me but SheerID always gives me problems. Not sure why.
I got this deal earlier when they had the promotion for subscribers who cancelled, the paramount plus subscription that's included does not include showtime.
I signed up for this and switched my subscription over to student and prorated my current subscription and refunded me what I had left and I had to pay for the 50 dollars for the year.

Thank you so much. My son is a Junior student but has a high school email. I will try that. If this offer is for college students then no luck..Thanks any ways
Not sure why anyone would pay for this. I get it free with my Amex card, but would never pay for it. So, you pay for something, so you can use your phone to scan groceries and then check out in a normal self checkout line like everyone else. Should have special scanner shopping checkout lanes.
This is nothing like Amazon Prime.

Not sure how to get verified for existing W+ members.
Follow the link in the post and then verify your student info. I used my daughters UGA email, even though it only said "school email address preferred"
Then it said "You'll be refunded $82.43 for your current plan. You can now sign up for 50% off a Walmart+ membership for one year."
I went back to the link and it gave me these two choices.
$49 for one year which is $4.08 a month, or $6.47 monthly.
I chose one year and hit "switch to WalMart + for students", but it says that they're unable to update my membership due to a technical problem right now?
No problem, I'll try again later or maybe call them.
I wonder should I CANCEL my current $98 plan first because it still shows me under that old plan, plus the refund did not go back to the Amex card yet so....
