I think these are regularly $8.50 at tractor supply and go on sale a few times a year for $5 or $6 if back of the grocery store is out of free ones.

These should not be going to a landfill.
Homeless people in the area will grab them sometimes to use to sit on
Nope we never trash them. They are just set close to the dumpster area on the side of the building. Same with Pepsi crates. A rep will come pick them up with deliveries occasionally.
Regardless, I will say this is much better than coke products which are often packaged in disposable plastic wrap and cardboard for our deliveries. At least Pepsi uses plastic trays and takes them back. Both companies are horrible for the environment but appreciate Pepsi for taking a somewhat green step
