FYI - these clearance model ARC DO NOT qualify for the Apple/Sirius $60 gift card. The SKU of the Costco clearance model is ARCSLUS1SDW and the qualifying SKUs are ARCG1US1BKHB and ARCG1US1HB per the web site you linked. These two SKUs that qualify are the newer boxed ARCs (brown box) and the clearance SKU at Costco is in black box.

Just picked up two of these yesterday from a local Costco - I called around and there was one Costco that had 4 of them at this price.

They also are clearing out the One SL pairs for 279.99.

Call Costco and ask if this part number is in stock and where and what the price is.

per rtings the 990C system (soundbar+sub+rear speakers) is a little better than the Arc+Sub+Era300 rears (IIRC they said the 990C sounded less "processed"), but IMO they're comparable - your room acoustics will have more of an effect on the sound than the difference between the two systems.

I have numerous Sonos speakers and sound bars. The ARC was literally life changing for my father who has hearing loss. Plus it's just an amazing piece of equipment. Down side is all is driven via their app and not Bluetooth. But if you are in the Apple ecosystem then airplay works great and frankly sounds better.

This silly debate always comes up, it's an apples n oranges comparison!

A soundbar isn't designed to compete with traditional setup, including dragon.

nice. got the Shadow refurb from Sonos for this price. minor note , supports DTS but not DTS-X . not a deal breaker for me but considering other soundbars do support it, might sway some.
