I have the indoor grill so I can't get one of these yet. But would have if I didn't have the indoor grill. Here is someone talking about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtewQEbYZpc

Does anyone know how it works in the winter??

7 in 1 means that it does no 1 thing really well. Just invest once for what you really need.

That's not always true. I use my Instant Pot daily and it has numerous functions. It performs most of all of them fantastically.

I think I was a rare case but I got this from Kohl's & didn't like it. It cooked way faster than I expected. More importantly, the side flap was melting with how it hit the metal pellet holder. Felt uncomfortable cooking on it, worried about smoke from the plastic. I assume it was some kind of defect with the one I got. But it was weird. It's also quite small. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who plans to feed more than 2-4 people.

If anyone is considering this, I would first look into the their new Woodfire Outdoor Oven.

A lot of of the stuff you can cook on this grill you could cook in the oven (the Outdoor Oven also lets you smoke with wood pellets), but the Outdoor Oven has a big advantage in that it goes up to 700 degrees Fahrenheit (this grill only goes up to 500), which is far as I know pretty rare for these type of devices in this price range.

the downside is that you can't see inside of the oven.... which is quite odd but I understand why that might need to be done

Also the woodfire oven takes at least 25 min to heat up to temperature.

That's true for both of them.
