Nice machine/line. Been using one since 2020. For a little screen like this, the low resolution only matters if you're doing a bunch of fine pen work/line drawing, and even then it's not a deal-killer. Great battery life on my old model.
Last week I was able to get an open box (excellent) HP - Spectre 2-in-1 16" 3K+ Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Evo Platform - Core i7 (12700H) - 16GB Memory - 512GB SSD for $649. Insane deal.
Darn. No credit card merchant offers these days in Best Buy these days to my knowledge. I like to combine those offers when I'm dropping big dollars at Best Buy.
How are the speakers on this 13" model? I know the larger Spectre has pretty good speakers with some bass. Of course, nothing compares to the MacBook Pro speaker but do these produce at least some noticeable bass or tinny as usual?

I'm also genuinely confused why the large gap in laptop deal posts these days. I'm either seeing latest gen at $1k plus or these $600 to $700 open box deals.
Will the deals get any better come back to school week, or do I pull the proverbial trigger on this one.
The other zenbook deal also got me itching, but the 8gb RAM kept me away.
Currently have the galaxy book2 pro 360, and I'm constantly worried about the screen cracking. Does this have similar risk? How is the build quality compared to the galaxy pro? Thanks
What kind of battery life might one experience on this machine?
From a review on BestBuy.com:
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Great battery life and build quality.
"Very fast and premium. This laptop has a nice display, although it is not high res it is still sharp.
The biggest pro about this laptop is its build quality. It has a nice brass trim that goes around the laptop and looks super premium.
The next best thing is the battery life. This laptop can last for hours. Like a good 12-14 hours easily.
Performance is great as well. In fact the only downside to this model is the pedestrian FHD+ screen. There is a OLED model but the drawback with that is the hit to battery life. It is not horrible but just not as high. It is also more expensive.
The bonus with this one is the great battery life."
This is a great back to school laptop. This would be perfect for someone entering college this year or a graduate student needing a reliable PC for school. Awesome price for these specs ($1500 specs for $654 is a great deal), thank you for posting OP.

The current line of Spectre laptops is flawed. The display glass rests on the metal palmrest because of the curved edges. The display gasket does nothing. How have they not resolved this yet?

Every 2-in-1 or Ultrabook will have soldered ram....
