Deal History
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
The pricing keep falling, and I doubt this is the bottom just yet. We've seen it before, folks. What we're witnessing right now is called a deflationary spiral, which means that manufacturers, being under the pressure of not being able to meet their sales expectation, keep cutting their prices more and more. This often happens post inflation and causes a lot of distress to the markets. Financial markets usually get hit the most.
The only solution to drive this market even further down is to hold the mf line. I refuse to buy the garbage rtx 4080 for $1200 + tax, but I will gladly accept the offer for $500.
Embrace your current system for a bit longer and you will see how these companies will bend over backwards to sell you their stuff for pennies.
Just want to add -- even though a PS5 requires PCI-4, this is more than adequate for PC. Even a SATA SSD is enough for 99% of games (even if they're PC ports of PS5 games).
I've been running a 1TB 970 EVO Plus for years as my game drive and OS drive. I also have SATA SSDs for games. There's basically zero difference in loading times.
Tl;Dr -- PCI-E 3 drives are more than enough for 99% of people. It's worth the price discount over an equivalent PCI-4 drive if you don't need the extreme speeds (which don't make a difference for game loading).
