The only solution to drive this market even further down is to hold the mf line. I refuse to buy the garbage rtx 4080 for $1200 + tax, but I will gladly accept the offer for $500.
Embrace your current system for a bit longer and you will see how these companies will bend over backwards to sell you their stuff for pennies.

I would get a 4 TB Samsung m.2 PCIe Gen 4 and call it a day. Should be great for next 7 years...
