Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Looks like a good deal for the price, yet might want to think twice if you already have a Surface Pro 7 or 8 that you're happy with as there aren't a ton of upgrades (and possible loss of a microSD card slot) to this newer model.

Please note, it's easy to find an inexpensive USB-C (or USB-A for that matter) adapter, but many folks such as myself prefer an onboard one.

The Surface Connect port also enables easy connection to docks/attachments that have a more extensive selection of ports/connectivity options, but those are an added cost. If your use case (such as a student) needs something portable and can accommodate leaving external monitors, etc at a desk or constant location for heavier work tasks, this might be ideal for you.

Op is probably including free keyboard in calculations? If so BH Photo Video is $50 cheaper.

It was dead before 9:00 am. It's usually better to just jump on a deal and return it later if it doesn't work out.

I like to carry as few chargers as I can when I travel. Is there an adapter where I can use the surface charger for another usb-c laptop? I found plenty of usb-c to surface connectors, I'm looking for the opposite, a surface charger to a usb-c. Is that even a thing?
