For Samsung specifically, Samsung has a little tiny program that verifies authenticity for you. You could use that as soon as the card arrives to put your mind at ease.

This is fast enough for both cases but for Dash Cam you are better off using the Pro Endurance version (highest pro endurance size is 256MB).

I had a similar experience and just recently had to return a Samsung card purchased from Amazon that was clearly different from the Best Buy model, and had all the red flags people warn about online. Amazon is not worth the counterfeit risk and return hassle for memory cards.

Was able to get one on Samsung's website with USB reader for $35.99 (+tax) with the employee discount (or $31.99 without the reader). Not quite the $27.99 that was reported earlier but still cheaper and I was able to check out.

Just an option for those who have it available. Nice deal either way!

Depends what rate your trying to capture but I would say no spend the extra couple of bucks for the endurance or max endurance cards that's what I use in my EZVIZ cameras and have never had a problem

That's about how much I paid for a 512 MB CF card back then. It was for digital photography, but perhaps a bit excessive for my needs.

The lesson here is: Don't get caught up in the sale price and buy more storage than you need just because it's on sale. Storage prices will inexorably go down. Buy only what you need at the moment. When you need more next year, it will be cheaper than if you'd bought it on sale right now.
