Lowest on Slickdeals was $399 this year
I have this one. You get what you pay for, the top shelf in the refrigerator always freezes whatever is there, making it unusable for most items. Ruined a lot of produce that way.
It's around $700 at Home Depot and Best Buy.

Would anyone use this as a main fridge? Or would consider this apartment type size fridge?

So, I'm moving soon and I have a 10 year old Whirlpool french door fridge that works great and I love.

Is it worth buying a new one like this to leave in the house when it sells, or just leave mine and buy it (maybe) new again for the new house?

Just be sure to swap it out before showing the house or write it into the contract that you are leaving a different fridge. If you don't you could have a headache when the new owners move in and see something different

I have this. It's an ok, no frills fridge. I bought back in Feb ($620) for as a cheap fridge that I'll sell with the house. I have 2 issues with it. One, the stainless steel does not match normal stainless steel, so if you don't have a whirlpool dishwasher and stove to match you will notice the difference. Two, the back of the fridge gets too cold and stuff freezes back there.

It has no ice maker or water features, but I was ok with that because this was a 2nd fridge for my house.
Does it do that even if you adjust the fridge temp to the least cold setting?
And adjusting the freezer temp to be less cold as well, since that'll affect fridge temp?

I would leave it and plan on buying a new one for the new home. At 10 years old, you're taking a chance.

My family has had to buy a new fridge every 5 yrs or so it seems. Various reasons like freezer defrosting issues, shelving not durable, side inner walls getting damaged, etc. Do have downstairs mini fridges and a upright garage freezer, but the main fridge is lookin rough. Already spent $300 on replacement shelving and brackets. May have been better off putting that money towards a new fridge

My wife lowered the freezer by 1 degree and it was having trouble freezing stuff. I plan on seeing if I can block some of the vent holes to prevent some of the cold air from freezing stuff in the back.

For now we just put stuff in the back top shelf that we don't mind freezing. I guess you can consider it extra freezer space LOL.

Heard all your complains about it, but I have a rental property that I'm thinking of putting this in and with this being from Costco, which has a GENEROUS return/exchange in any time frame policy, I feel like this would be worth it! Thoughts??

I probably have a similar whirlpool and use the top shelf to my advantage. When I end up with too many items for the freezer but yet intend to consume them shortly I put them on the top shelf near the rear blower to keep them chilled. This model like mine probably has a lower bin for produce (crisper drawer) and that is where the temperature is more moderate and kept from fluctuations and that's where produce is designed to be kept!

LED lighting is not necessarily a good thing. In our fridge the LEDs go funky as in going dim at 20% brightness for no reason. Looks like the LED panels are not good for cold conditions
The LEDs in my LG have been going strong for 10 years. In fact, those are about the only things that haven't been repaired or replaced. So, I don't think it's a problem inherent to the diodes themselves. Maybe there's a cold solder joint and expansion/contraction from cooling cycles is giving you inconsistent performance.

Take your fridge with you. Not including a fridge is not going to affect a house price these days so keep the value for yourself.

Who puts produce on the top shelf of the refrigerator?
