2 or 3 times the price is not 'a little more' regardless of if it is better quality or 'worth it to you'.
You can literally use that argument on every single slickdeal to just buy a better one for 2 or 3 times the price because its better.

This current SD is for a 2 pack. Essentially $50 for one chair. If the poly wood is $140-149 then that is about 3x the cost. 3x is likely more than "a little more" to most people but that is an assumption on my part.

I would also like to add that a curved back would be worth for the comfort as opposed to the linked straight back from Costco.

Bought these last week. The Chili Red is RED but with some good sanding prep and spray paint I was able to change the color to red oxide/brown and it looks great. Chairs are nicely functional and comfortable. Fold up easily for storage. There are about 8 bolts that need to be used to attach the arm rails, back and base together. For $50 a chair this is a steal.

Your assumptions are pretty accurate. I bought my Polywood set about a year ago on clearance for $90ish each. They're perfect and require zero maintenance while being left outside without cover year round (extremely high humidity environment). No signs of wear and they look brand new after getting a quick rinse. While the HDPE (Polywood being a name brand) offerings are 2-3x the cost per chair compared to this deal, it's worth every penny for peace of mind and longevity
