These shelves are constructed with very thin metal (3-4mm?) and the shelvings are also thin metal pieces. A cardboard box from home appliances are thicker. I highly suggest you install an anti-tip mount. I would not put more than 200-300lbs on the bottom rack! I put maybe 20-100lbs max on the rest.
