Strongly dislike the trend, especially among Paid SD Staff, to put zero useful information in the posts.

"Anker PowerPort Mini Dual Port Phone Charger, Super Compact USB Wall Charger 2.4A Output & Foldable Plug"

With a charger, we need to know the output. sure every single forum member can click the link and scroll and find it themselves ... or the bare essentials could be posted to save everyone time.

Or
"this deal is still available"
"This matches the previous FP deal"
All filler to say *bump* rather than just put it all in the OP 😆

Hard pass. Weak wattage and this model is 5 years old, only thing going for it is the size and weight.

These are handy for low power devices. I have one by the TV to power a couple of things including a harmony hub and it doesn't miss a beat.

The hate that some slickdealer staff gets is laughable at times. The same poster that complains about slickdealer staffer is the same poster who quickly bought a great sale item that the same slickdealer staff posted. Does he get a thanks or any credit from an ungrateful poster that bought the item from the other deal? Ofcourse not. Funny how that works.

When one lists a product name, one cuts and paste the Amazon description. Whatever Amazon, Best Buy, etc. writes, it goes in the description. I think people should go to the website for more details.

A 12 watt dual usb with a reputable name in Anker that is compact with folding prong for $6.99 is a solid deal. Were people expecting 3.0 fast charging dual ports on a $6.99 sale Anker charger? We have to be realistic. People always think "power, power, power" but fail to realize that extra power from fast charging can damage the battery of some devices like some earbuds, small Bluetooth speakers, hotspots, portable charging lights, etc. Lot of devices literally states "Do not use fast charging" in their manual. I would never use my fast charging chargers on those small devices with those small batteries. Yes. It may charge but I don't believe it is good for the battery in the long run. Assuming it was a dual port fast charger, I wouldn't even use it on my smaller devices especially ones that say "Do not use fast charging".

Would I use this charger as my main charger for my phone? No as it is too slow but there are definitely good uses for these type of chargers especially for smaller devices with small batteries. Portability is a factor as compact size and folding prong is appreciated. No coincidence that the extra powerful chargers are much bigger.

White Knighting for the shills? That's unexpected.

Once again you have no clue about the damage that fast charging does to small devices. It is a fact that fast charging has a higher probability to damage small devices. It is common sense to me but there will always be people who will be "power power power" like Tim the toolman Taylor and then destroy their device.... "What happened to my device? The battery don't work anymore. I didn't listen to the manual that stated do not use fast charging and now I am crying because I burned out the battery".... User error.

I don't care if joe schmo or slickdeal staffer post a deal, I use my own brain to decide if it is a good worthy deal. I buy from whoever's deal. If you think slickdeal staff don't post any good deals, you live on another planet. Ungrateful much?

Did you know that I bought a different 2 pack of Anker portable chargers that had a 4.8 out of 5 review score from like 10k reviews? They were a very good deal and they work great. The slickdeal staff posted the deal. The same product soon had +77 thumbs up deal. Wow. So people actually like the deal and it is living up to its high ratings. Shocker?!

It's not unreasonable to ask a staff member to amend their post with relevant information. That is, if it were a human and not a bot. If they are taking the time to post something, they can also take time to review relevant information and include it when/where applicable.

But regardless, please continue throwing a fit.

Not unreasonable for a person to hit the see deal button for more specific information unless they have trouble reading. All of a sudden conspiracy nuts think staff are bots. Like I said earlier, some people will be the first person to jump on a deal and buy a good product deal posted by staff or an average Joe but won't ever be grateful and won't even give a thumbs up. No appreciation for that deal though right? Go ahead and say you don't buy deals posted by staff. I need a good laugh. When a deal isn't "specific enough", they come out with pitchforks and start crying. Toxicity sells and attracts others. Ungrateful much? If a 4.8 out of 5 rating from 50k reviews isn't good enough for you and 12 watts isn't enough, move along. Others obviously think it is plenty good enough for their use if you read the reviews. Some people have no idea how to charge various devices and think more power, power, power is the best for various smaller devices. It doesn't work that way. What better way to burn a certain device battery than use chargers too powerful. Go ahead and start using powerful chargers on those smaller devices. Put it on overnight too. User error.... The benefits of slow charging or Ankers trickle charging on some devices goes over the head of some people.
