Anyone know where I can get a replacement handle? I recently ordered the combo and the handle was broken.

Doesn't seem very Tuff. If it actually came broke return for a new one.
The reels that come with regular ugly stik combos are pretty budget, wouldn't expect much more from these.
Can get a Pflueger Trion for around the same price.

šŸ˜‚ exactly. Recent order means recent replacement for recent breakage. And listening to this šŸ‘† chick here is bad advice all around.

I'm not familiar with this reel but I love the ones that come in the GX2 combos. I'd say the 25 and 30 are warm deals at best, but you can get the 40 for this price as well which is probably a better deal.

There are a bunch of entry level ultralight and light reels at this price that provide great performance.

I want to try and start fishing. Is this a good beginner reel? What size do I get?

I don't know much about fishing but my 4 yr old son needed a new reel and noticed a 50% coupon on this Kastking spincaster. worth a shot for $13.

Can you recommend any specifically? I broke my old/great Cardinal and need something to use as I try to repair it.

This is another reel without the ability to switch off the anti-reverse. (Seems like many of these are basically the same reel under different brand names.) Personally I fish with anti-reverse off, so these reels are a non-starter for me. Also because the anti-reverse is instant, you have no leeway to slightly re-position the bale backwards when casting. What's up with failing to include an "off" switch for the anti-reverse?

One of my favorite lightweights was a Shakespeare Panfish combo I picked up at a local sporting goods store for $37. I also like my daughter's 5ft girl branded GX2 combo.

If you have a BassPro or Sportsman's Warehouse nearby, go in and check them out. You can't really buy a reel w/o trying it out first. I prefer 5+ bearings and a 5.2:1 reel spinning reel. There is so much preference that goes into it.

Best advice ever. Start with a cheap Walmart rod and reel combo (bonus points if it comes with a tackle box with gear) and start from there. If you decide you like it and eventually get better then you can invest in an actual name brand

That's concerning. Bought two of the 60's. Guess they will become guest rods.

I bought a similar reel on an earlier deal, before knowing about the lack of anti-reverse switch. On a positive note, the reel turns very smooth. My son is ok with the reel and it's held up fine for a season so far.

I'm still old school with classic Garcia Mitchell reels, and am so use to fishing with the anti-reverse set to off, I have trouble setting up for quick casting with it locked on. Especially because these new reels have "instant on" anti-reverse, meaning there is zero back play.
