Hard to beat a simple French press. Then you have an excellent method for hot and cold brew.

I can't get behind that assertion. Cold brewing results in a higher extraction of caffeine and differential extraction of other flavor compounds in the coffee. Switching beans entirely misses this point that a different brewing method does in fact change the end result.

With a French press, you fill it with coffee and cold water, then let it sit overnight in the fridge. If you then hot brew some coffee and chill it in the fridge, you'll see that it does taste different.

Cold brew is not nonsense, but elaborate cold brewing devices might be.

People do have acidity problems and cold brew helps them still enjoy coffee
