I've had this set since 2019 and it has held up to numerous projects. For a value price set it is a deal at $101.

This seems like a really good deal. If I didn't already have 2 battery ecosystems going I would jump on it

Outside of some rare DTO deals you won't be able to get 3 tools for $100

Where do you find 5 1/2 circular saws?
I've been trying to find 4 1/2 in circular saws, and they're hard to find at a reasonable price.

B&D batteries and their little clip on "charger" are pretty poor quality. Had 2 chargers and 4 batteries and in less than a year only 1 charger and 1 battery works… there's a reason these are cheap

The lowest price I could find recently on a 5.5" blade was from Harbor Freight:

I picked one up for a saw someone had gifted me.

I beg to differ. I have had this set for over 4 years now and it still works great for all my basic home projects.

In have this set as well as a couple other B&D tolls. Definitely not for a professional, but for small home use they work just fine.

Good find! It's rated at 10K rpm, so definitely compatible with an angle grinder. I'm looking for 4 1/2 in blades and they're all $10+, which is even more than the 7 1/4 in blades that I can normally get on sale.

Had this set or was it the 5 piece one? Can't remember since 2013 bought it then for $99. Only thing that fell apart was the circular saw, plastic gears grinded down. Gave a way the drill, flash light is kicking around. Can't kill the Sawzall, and it's my dirt saw I use it to cut roots when removing shrubs. Picked up a few extra random tools, polesaw and hedge trimmer all work great. Even have a few aftermarket high ah batteries no issues with those or original ones.

Edit: oh and have a chain saw, oiler does not work but I just pour oil directly on the chain, with a clean sharp blade it cuts with no issues. Not the fastest bit I took down a whole walnut with it.

Feels like I've had the drill for 10 years. Idk. I've bought all the other tools throughout the years whenever I would see them at the thrift store for 10 to 20 bucks with batteries. 4 batteries later and only 1 has a 20 min life. Plus a 5ah generic battery for 30 or 40 bucks.
Again, these tools are really underpowered but they are cheap.

Oh and everything is pretty much proprietary. Odd sized circular saw blades, odd sized blades for the oscillating multi tool.
I've moved onto Dewalt. Slickdeals/woot deals helped a lot

This is a steal at ~$100 if you are looking to buy-in to a 20v ecosystem.

I've been in the B&D ecosystem for a decade now and have no major complaints except, acknowledging that DeWalt and B&D have the same parent company, DeWalt has had tons of new 20v tools released where B&D has been developing USB-powered rechargeable 12v tools and drink mixing machines.

I own all of these tools and have used them for varying degrees of home repair and miscellaneous projects. All of my batteries seem to be holding up fine as well. I did have one drill die on me after ~8 years of being my only drill. I replaced it with another B&D 20v drill + their 20v driver.

I also have some of their 20v outdoor tools: leaf blower, trimmer, and pole saw. The blower is a little underwhelming but that was expected. The trimmer is cheaply made but works fine for the lawn. The pole saw, though, is worth its weight in gold.

Worth noting, I probably use their 20v hand vac. the most as far as battery time goes. Secondly, I had a DOA tool arrive and B&D replaced it no questions asked. Beyond that, I've had on customer service interactions with them.

(edited for clarity)

I bought the 4 pc for around $89 several yrs ago, and haven't had any trouble with any of them. I don't use the saws very often, but they still work when I need them. I also have the weed trimmer and blower. Also bought a Craftsman 20v drill(batteries interchange), after my first B&D drill, and that battery is the one that doesn't hold a charge very long.
